Legal and General Announces Match Price Promise

Legal and General, one of the UK’s biggest financial services companies, has announced that it will match any competitor on like for like products. This match price promise applies to level and decreasing term assurance that include or do not include critical illness protection. In particular, the promise applies to level and decreasing term assurance for amounts from between £600,000 and £5 million for life cover or from £350,000 to £1 million for personal critical illness cover or £32 million for business critical illness cover.

Should the same individual have policies that have been submitted at the same time that together amount to these aforementioned sums, then the match price promise also stands. Furthermore, these specific cases already stand to benefit from Legal and General’s multi product discount that was launched by the company just over three months ago.

This recently launched multi product discount offer provides the policyholder with a discount for purchasing multiple products, or it provides a discount for two people that are applying for individual products at the same time, although this does not apply to joint life cover.

One way in which this can be illustrated is to take out a life insurance policy with the aim of covering a mortgage. Then, add to this family protection, which will cover critical illness or apply for key man insurance with your business partner.

As the life insurance market becomes more competitive, more and more discounted offers in addition to price promises are available all the while making life insurance more affordable.
