Bright Grey, part of the life insurance group known as Royal London, has paid out on 91% of all of its critical illness claims in the final six months of the year, according a new report from the firm.
The insurer has rejected around 2% of all claims last year for non-disclosure of existing conditions, but for those it did end up paying out for, the average critical illness payout was £82,000.
